His name is technically Sachel, but we have dubbed him "el gato" which i believe is spanish for the cat. Lol.. knowing my ability in spanish, weve probably been calling him little tree or something like that for all i know. Anyway, thats his name now as far as im concerned - no matter what it really means. El gato's owner lives upstairs, and over a few apartments. He is NOT douglas's cat as i first believed (thank god). Douglas, by the way has moved out. Hooray for us.
So, anyway.. el gato is one of the nicest cats ive ever met (besides THE Kat of course). He leaps out at you from behind the bushes, to attack you for some vicious petting. He meows ALL the time, even when your petting him he makes this little MAh mah m
ah sort of sound. He also drools if he is really into being pet. This picture is not the most flattering, but it shows you, my dedicated reader, how el gato meows all the time, even when posing for a photograph. Though, this picture was taken on halloween, and i wonder if maybe he wasnt just a tad possessed that night.
He is a very sweet cat. He likes nothing better than just to curl up on your lap and take a nap. It was after him that the term catnap was coined im sure. Dont tell christopher, but I brough him in today again, and he curled up on my belly while i read some stephen king. We both ended up sleeping. Im not sure who drooled more.

christopher is very cute...but el gato kicks his ass to tennessee and back for sure! i prolly spelled that wrong, but i'm canadian, so i don't really care. but yes, el gato does mean the cat in spanish. that much i know!
awww, thanks for syaing i'm your favourite kat..now you do realize you left me an opening to go off about the noises i make when i'm curled up in your lap with you petting me right? but, with noble restraint, i refrain...well, i didn't get into specifics, and that's incredible restraint coming from me! I thouroghly enjoyed the Halloween pic of your new kitty. And this is coming from someone who doesn't particularly like kitties.
We ended up with a stray at work a few months ago too. We call him 'Mauw' He's the first cat, and may I add neutered cat, that I've ever met that tries to hump your leg. Have any of you ever seen a leg humpin' kitty before?

weve talked about it, but technically pets arent allowed in this apartment complex. Of course that was besides douglas's two cats, and el gato. Apparently, theres just no NEW cats allowed in the building. I figure ill just get nice and attached to el gato, then when we move ill be devestated, and when we get to nebraska christopher will be forced to get me a kitten to help me get through my misery. We can name the new cat El gato, numero deux. I tried to convince him to get a budgie. Thats not going to happen... so im sticking with my cat plan.
a kitten would be a good idea...or a BABY! LOL i'm always pushing the baby agenda, i know, but someone's got to have one for me to cuddle, and i already took one for the team! LOL

yeah.. babies are cute and good to cuddle, until they barf, or crap all over the place. Or grow up, and learn to talk. Ohh yeah, look at that wonderful motherly instinct comming out. Sheesh.
LOL...trust me, the hormones flooding your body take care of ALL of that gross stuff! bryn is the only person on the planet that could puke in my mouth, and not only would i still TALK to her, but i'd still love her just as much...and by COULD puke in my mouth, i mean DID puke in my mouth! ah the glamorous life of parenting! lol but honestly, you think el gato is cute? wait till it's a baby looking up at you smiling...it makes up for everything else. i promise. now i can't offer a money back guarantee or anything...but if the kid's giving you grief, send it off to "auntie kat" for a month or two! boot camp is FAR less terrifying! lol (i want a baby to snuggle...MAKE me one! lol)

yea, i'm not super good at this hey? oh, they're so sweet..and then i tell you gross stories! but they're FUNNY! ok, a cute one then- at bryns first bday, for the family party, her gran got her an ice cream cake. bryn at this point, is still struggling with the concept of getting spoon to mouth, so more often than not, the spoon is upside down, or ends up in her hair- it's a learning curve. well the thing with ice cream is that it's slippery yes? so there's this adorable little monkey with her curved plastic spoon, desperately trying to be a big girl, and use her spoon- only to have the cake fall off every time. she decides to go old school on it, and use her fingers-but what the hell? the cake just disappears when she gets it into her hot little hands! she looks up at all of us with this incredibly frustrated look on her face, and says "SHIT!" We all burst out laughing...at which point bryn starts cackling, and clapping her hands..and repeatedly saying shit over and over again! the moral of the story is that babies can do anything, and it;s adorable..but it's especially cute when they swear! LOL
want a baby now? how about now? dammit! lol
