boating and unpacking - oh my

wow.. what a packed weekend, and it sure went fast. We got a call saturday that christophers stuff was arriving sunday. I was enjoying a pleasant day boating when we got the call.

I think my cigarette boat could have gone faster if it wasnt for the chain linking it to the coin box. But, i still had fun.

So, as many of you know, christopher's stuff came from tennesse. The airforce hired a moving company from that area to get his stuff over here. Man, now that guy was "about as country as you can get" according to christopher.

I have not seen a mullet that fine (or that greasy) in a very long time - if ever.

Now, i shot this picture on the sly, so its not very good, but i had to show off this mullet even if it wasnt a great representation of it.

That is also a picture of my font door. Charming isnt it?

We also got a smoking deal on a couch this weekend. Heres christopher, taking the new couch for a test ride, tired out before the mover even came..

and a picture of our technology hub where we sat for hours on the floor infront of the laptop, as weve been without a phone or tv or stereo.

Once we get everything set up, ill take some more pics of what the place looks like all set up.. as it is now, its insane but atleast looks lived in. I also have a table for the laptop, instead of that fancy box that its on in that picture. So, were living the highlife. lol..

I miss you all tons. Take care.

Hey to you and to Mr Tiresa too

happy to see you both living where you belong.

Got to complement you on the mike post here too, honnestly, good job. Shit, I haven't been that erked since Mr Crack Prof! Shit, I don't even think he pissed me off that much, even.

Love that the Kartmazovs have a couch now ;)

and its a comfie one too -- and you 2 are certainly welcome to it. Im glad you like the mike post. I was afraid i may have just been adding fuel to the fire.. antagonizing him just when the whole thing had settled down. Furthermore, i guess im also awear that he can just click on my name at your blog and start his ranting here. Oh well, whatever the consequence the post was still worth it. I just couldnt stand by and say nothing. Bring it on is what i say.

LOL. ok, so i'm a terrible friend for not having posted for ages! things have been pretty busy here- i'm getting all emotional and difficult coz i dread the thought of leaving, so dave has his hands full! lol (poor guy) i miss you so much, and wish there was some way we could meet up in LA on my way back- i'll check my layover details to see if it's plausible at all...

I'm really glad you guys are getting all the new stuff sorted- it all sounds great! i LOVE the pics, so please post more...the mullet was especially delightful! lol

Right now it's pissing rain, and crazy windy here...ahhh, feels like home! if it settles down at all, i'll be heading out to post yet another postcard to you, coz stalking internationally is my new favourite pasttime! i really hope they all get to you (which we'd be better able to ascertain if you checked your mail more frequently!) (see, i can talk all proper too- it's just i PREFER to talk like a sailor!) lol

My love to you and Christopher

LOL- YAY! i'm glad you like em...i've sent you so many that i've lost count..i'm sure you'll be getting them long after i get home! (stupid international mail! SO slow!) fuck, i miss you. it's wierd that i miss you more from here, coz it's not like i get to see you when i'm in van or anything..i guess it just reinforces how very far away you are...watch out before i start singing the song from Fievel goes West!!! LOL

i miss you sweet girl

uh.. god im glad i dont know that one. The joy of not having kids is not having to learn the words to disney and other childrens movie sound tracks alike. So far, i believe its 5 postcards, and 2 card cards. Nothing like being mail stocked from abroad to make a girl feel wanted.

awwwwwwwwww, see, someone else who understands that stalking just means that i really really love you! lol

you seriously don't know the song?
well here's a little taste of it for you- though it's much cuter when you can picture the little mice wistfully gazing up at the sky! lol

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky...

i could go on and on...lol maybe you'd just rather i call you up and sing it to you in person? LOL sorry, i shouldn't threaten you like that!

love you sweet girl

i actually had a choir teacher that made us learn that song. So when it goes thru my head it sings...
"Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight

Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight (REST REST)

Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer" etc..
She used to make us say the "rest" in our head to count where ever there was a bar of music but no words. We would count the beats by saying "rest.. rest.." for however many there were. SO.. thanks kat.. not only do i have the GAYEST song ever going thru my head, youve made it apparent that my brain has been colonised by my grade 6 choir teacher!

LOL! i can SO beat that! we had a vocal excercise we had to do in choir that goes "BLACK socks they never get dirty the LONGER you wear them the STRONGER they get" (capitals are the emphasised words) we had to sing it OVER AND OVER, getting progressively faster. i think it was a diction excercise, to make sure we were properly enunciating (did i spell that right?) each sound. motherfucker, the jesuits are right. who ever gets us young has the power to shape us forever...what a shame this is the random shit they chose to imprint us with...sigh
